Chris Collingwood produces paintings ranging from topics of the Napoleonic War to portraits of great military leaders. He is also a painter of pirates which he particularly enjoys out of all his topics. He is influenced by Meissonier and De Neuville and his style reflects on the techniques of the old masters.
I stumbled across this artist while getting influence for my pirate characters. His work is particularly useful for my evil pirate with the hair/beards and extravagant pirate dress, I just need to add that evil look about then especially around their eyes.
