Unit 2: Creative Partnership Archive

Creative Partnership Archive

Thumbnails: Final bunch to 100!

Here are the rest of my thumbnails including some early ones for my underwater cemetery that got lost in transit. I used my last 3 to map out my final ideas so that I didn't go in blind.

Unit 2: Submission Disk Artwork

I thought it would be nice to show space in my actual disk artwork and I was really happy with a stage in my final Atlantis concept process so I thought this would look nice. Also the mountains gave a nice light space to put text without overcrowding the disc art. I chose my green lightscribe disc because I thought it would compliment well with the underwater setting of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I have included a photograph below of the actual lightscribed disc as well as the design I made up.

Essay Plan/Research

Yes I know this looks odd considering I've already done my essay, this is the research/plan that I forgot to put up before my essay doh! But anyhow here it is!

Unit 2 Essay Plan

Life Drawing: Week 10

Life drawing this week was really good because we got to chose how we approached the drawing both in style and material. I chose to go for more proportional accurate drawing because I like working this way and have liked seeing myself improve in my figure drawing from week 1...big difference! I also got to use some of my perspective practice for the last drawing which was great! After a chat with Chris we both agreed that now I should focus on practicing drawing the face so that my figures feel complete. We also had two models at once which was interesting to draw.

Giant Oyster Grotto Process...so far

Just thought I'ld post some of my concept 2 process to show how its going. Still a lot to sort out before I can play around with colour but it's getting there. Thinking of putting the two nearest pillars in near darkness like silhouettes because they are behind the light source so except some light from the hole in the ceiling and some bounce light from the oyster and pearl they will be barely visible in extreme lighting.
