Googie Architecture

I  could be barking up the completely wrong tree with this research or not, either way I've learnt about something I didn't know about :)
Whilst looking for Futurist work I found Googie architecture which is apparently a 'subdivision of futurist architecture'. It is around for a bit longer than futurist architecture but it follows the same ideals with themes of vehicles, speed and synthetic man made objects like lots of plastic. There are also some of the same shapes like triangles and circles in the designs and long dynamic lines. If this isn't a part of futurist architecture that I should be looking at then I know the extremities I can go to before changing the style of my project completely.
